I figured out that larger grips help with lining as well as turning the tip to be inline with the natural motion of the wrist.

My buddy Ky made a deal with me ... he installed wood flooring in my rv for tattoo work... 

I'm hoping the ink installs as well as his carpentry.

My friend Nate challenged me with trying a single needle piece...

next week we will be doing this classic Pictish warrior piece. The hardest stencil of the bunch.. i will need a monocle...

well biz has picked up ... the stencils are vital for laying out a good foundation before tattooing a piece, at the same time posting them has started to entice the masses.... lots more this month to come... gonna do my best to make some kill...

happy halloween....

welcome back... recently i inked my first session as a guest artist at a legit street shop. Golgatha Ink.. still in their first year...  Artist Tony over there challenged me to do a freehand to see what i had. I might be working here a few days out the week.

coincidentally Golgatha means haunted btw n the shop turns out to have some creepy clearly strange happenings going down..... (THERE IS A REAL GHOST IN THIS SHOP)... check out the videos...

new hobby... making rotary machines.. using erector set parts n a chinese motor... this one worked remarkably well before i dismantled it to a bad case of couldnt leave well enough alone.. the geometry was a bit clunky though so goin back to the drawing board with this... however i grasped the fundamentals of an adjustable give system... vital to making smooth black and grey
pretty trick....and when done right, such a treat

put in a good session on this marcos piece... new machine back to an old ink system that always yielded good results... altogether equates to a piece i was very excited about upon completion. pondering adding white highlights for added umph.

behold the og3 -1 shader.  made from a stealth and hacked chinese dragonfly copy rotary parts.  the vertical rubberband smooths out the vibrations.. works suprisingly very smooth.  i know storm rotary makes a model like this but factory streamlined.STORM a-250 ADJUSTABLE ROTARY TATTOO MACHINE REVIEW ... im gonna buy it n give it a try.

money frogs

two homies came in coincidentally getting moneyfrogs... each was customized to fit their personalities...

Thi added onto his forearm..his has waves which hold importance in symbolizing his mothers love and life.. a tsunami scale wall engulfing a worry free unsuspecting moneyfrog just out for his hustle...hes already got a good bite on how to get it.

Ky's frog is a bit more g'd up and less playfull ..cuz Ky dont take kindly to those who play with his money.  His emerges from the water yet is surrounded by it symbolizing that he has escaped drowning and emerged from the waters of the neighborhoods temptations and no goodness.

Both are not finished because both are busy hopping around like frogs out to get coinage in there mouth.

Koopa came in to add onto what will be a freedom of expression themed chest plate when finished.

we got a good solid pass after about 6 hours.  decided we should save some more for later.. 

after all i do charge what others do for half sessions.  This was on the cuff.  I think if you get to tattoo you're lucky.  If you get paid in the process you're even more lucky; perhaps ...

...blessed if you will.

the butterfly is to represent a lost brother.. the shears are for her love of her craft.. 

Thi came through to get his waterfall piece to symbolize his moms lessons still flowing through his blood even after her passing. 

 the girl symbolizes his desire to find a woman that might come close to being as good and loving of a woman not just another scallywag.  

 much like how her ashes were dissolved forever into the world  her teachings and memories are dissolved now into the skin in the form of ink.

His arm is coming together nicely.. this is my second almost complete sleeve.
